People of the film-loving African nation of Tunisia enjoy watching Iranian movies, a Tunisian journalist says.
Yosr Hazgui made the remarks during the sidelines of the 35th Fajr International Film Festival, which kicked off in the Iranian capital city of Tehran last week.
“Generally, Tunisians like Iranian movies. They find something new in them which is different from our cinema,” she noted.
Hazgui added that Tunisians are becoming more acquainted with Asian films thanks to the Fajr International Film Festival.
“This festival is a good opportunity to meet people from different countries and different cultures. In Tunisia we are familiar with African, European and American cinema. This festival is especially helpful for getting acquainted with Asian cinema,” Hazgui said.
This year’s event takes place in Tehran from April 21-28.
